On the eve of the 2022 international campaign getting underway, this new Jitsie original documentary provides an insight into what happens in Southern Europe each off season.
Jitsie rider Pau Martinez lives in the heart of Catalonia, Spain – the epicentre of modern trials, where every winter Europe’s most ambitious trials riders make the trip to take advantage of the excellent training conditions and to be close to the various trials factories.
Like Dougie Lampkin once said: “You have to be in Spain, you have to be with the factories”.
The Trial2 class is now the most competitive class in the current World Championship and Pau knows he can only make it in this class if he gives 100%. Consistency is key and so the young Spanish rider gets as many hours on the bike as possible whilst maintaining his fitness at the highest level.
Now in his second season as a full-time trials rider, the 19-year-old Jitsie Vertigo rider wants to make 2022 a good year in terms of his career development. Despite the tough competition, Pau can also call some of his rivals, his training partners and even his friends.
